our life … blog style

Alright, I know I’m a week late with this, but I figured better late than never, right?

I can’t believe March is over already! It seriously flew by. But even so, I managed to discover a few new favorites.

1. Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn

I walk by this stuff every time I’m at the grocery store and never gave it any thought. But one day this past month, for some reason it caught my eye on my way to check out, and I decided to give it a try. And I am so glad I did! This stuff is awesome. It comes in a smaller bag (or at least the bag I bought was smaller), so I can enjoy it without having it around forever, calling my name. Definitely nice for a treat every once in awhile.

2. Would I Lie To You? by Charles & Eddie

I know, I know. This song is from the 90s. And it’s pretty cheesy. And the video is SUPER cheesy. But I don’t care… I love it. Somehow it got in my head about a week ago and I had to download it immediately. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s been on repeat in my car for a week straight.

3. Ant Farm

We gave Ben an Ant Farm for Christmas. Not this past Christmas, but the one before. Christmas 2013. For some reason, it’s been sitting in a closet this entire time, and not one of us has thought to actually get it out and get it set up and working until a few weeks ago. Finally we did, and I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Ants are fascinating! Ben has been really into it, but honestly Greg and I are into it just as much, if not more. Every day we check out the ants to see what they’re doing, what new tunnels they’ve dug… the whole thing is oddly fascinating to all of us. So much so that we’re thinking of upgrading our little farm into something more substantial. Who knew ants could offer this much entertainment??

4. Nerds Bumpy Jelly Beans

You guys. Seriously. This candy is SO good. I bought it on a whim one day while perusing the Easter candy aisle at the grocery store. Not sure if these are new this year, but I hadn’t ever seen them. Every year for Easter, I try to find candy to put in eggs for Ben to hunt that isn’t chocolate. No idea how two chocoholics managed to have an offspring who doesn’t care much for chocolate, but somehow we did. Anyway, these jelly beans have been a hit with all of us. And I don’t normally like jelly beans that much! They’re just that good. So glad I picked up a bag, and so glad this temptation will be out of stores until next spring. If you can manage to find a bag at a 50% off sale, definitely give it a try!
